Cheers to Those Moments When We Belong

When you’re preparing a meal
in your new kitchen
and you notice the golden hour light
through the window
is doing beautiful things
and you try to capture it in a photo
but it’s kind of impossible
for you to capture it
because some things can’t be captured
and you’re not sure if you want to keep
those things displayed right there
is it too much?
a bit much? like you
but you take some photos anyway
and you realize you’re capturing
a moment in time
when your kitchen
feels like *your* kitchen
and you feel a deeper sense of belonging
to this place.

Cheers to those moments when we belong.
